Bonjour! ¡Hola! I’m Sophie, a passionate French and Spanish tutor based in Bristol, offering lessons for learners of all ages - from toddlers to adults - both online and in person.
Languages have always been a huge part of my life. I hold a degree in French, Spanish & Mandarin Chinese and a PGCE with QTS, and I have spent years teaching French and Spanish in schools, helping hundreds of students gain confidence and achieve top results. Now, as a full-time tutor, I focus on creating lessons that are engaging, practical, and tailored to each learner’s goals.
With years of experience in language education and having lived abroad in Spain, I understand the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. My approach is personalised, engaging, and designed to cater to your unique learning style. Whether you’re a beginner starting from scratch or looking to refine your skills, I am here to work with you on achieving your goals.

Qualifications:

BA (Hons) French, Spanish & Mandarin Chinese at University of Southampton.

A-levels in French, Spanish and English Language & Literature.

GCSEs in Maths, English Language & Literature, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, French, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Textiles & Geography.

Several years of teaching experience in schools as a Teaching Assistant (2019) and as a qualified teacher (2020 onwards).
